The Morongo Band of Mission Indians is committed to providing quality life-long educational programs and opportunities for Tribal Members and 1st Descendants to prepare them for success at the nation’s top universities and in any arena of government, academic, professional and corporate life.

Morongo School

A High School (Grades 9-12) has been planned around an Academy Model with four Centers of Excellence (Center for Excellence in Communications, Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies, Center for Creative & Performing Arts, and Center for Excellence in Governance & Leadership) Morongo students. The Tribe will consider adding the High School at the appropriate time.

Alternative Education

Alternative Education, the Center for Advanced Studies, provides support for Morongo Tribal Members and 1st Generation students, Kindergarten through 12th, who are currently enrolled in a local district, Independent Study Program or Tutoring Program.

Students also receive one-to-one academic guidance counseling, including high school credit tracking, transcript checks, and IEP/SST advocacy and support. In addition, students receive support with College preparedness, enrollment applications, finalizing college entrance essays, and scholarships.

The Center also offers career counseling for Tribal Members and 1st Descendants who are seeking accredited studies leading to a diploma, certification, career, career change, or college degree of their choice.

Tutoring & Independent Study Program

After School Tutoring Schedule:
Monday – Friday 2:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: Virtual by appointments only.

After School Study Hall

The Morongo After School Study Hall provides a supervised “quiet place” for Morongo students to work independently on their school homework assignments. While students are encouraged to work independently, tutoring assists with complex concepts. The After School Study Hall is located at Upper Campus, and it serves Tribal Members and 1st Descendants students attending local school districts.

We are open Monday through Friday while school is in session from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
